Possible Causes
  • Tight muscles -- caused by grinding, clenching, stress, or poor posture. These tight muscles put excess pressure on your TM joint.
  • Joint damage -- possibliy caused by grinding, blow to the jaw, or arthritis. This damage can cause liagaments to tear allowing your jaw to move out of position.
